Looking for something healthy & easy to make for dinner tonight?
What about Steak Spice Salmon? Inspired by this salmon from Fed and Fit, I prefer to bake my fish and I LOVE BBQ sauce, so I decided to bring it all together.
I served mine with a big simple salad and some pan-fried Zucchini and had everything on the table in 20 minutes.
Simple Steak Spice & BBQ Salmon (with a side of pan fried Zucchini).
Scale as needed, but the receipe below makes enough for 2.
Ingredients:
– 2 Salmon Fillets
– Steak Spice (to taste)
– BBQ sauce (to taste)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Pat dry the salmon filets and place in a baking dish. (I line mine with parchment paper or tin foil)
3. Sprinkle salmon liberally with steak spice.
4. Brush each fillet with about 1 TSP of BBQ sauce (just a thing layer). I use more because I love BBQ sauce.
5. Bake for about 20 minutes, depending on size of fillet. Mine are usually done in 15 minutes if they are thin, closer to 25 minutes if they are 1.5 inches thick.
6. If you prefer your Salmon with a crust, broil for a few minutes before serving.
Hi Everyone! Happy Friday!
Just a quick post of some of my fave links from this week.
1. The Florida State University “AcaBelles” cover Royal, and it sounds amazing.
2. A great Buzzfeed with 35 images that prove there is goodness in the world. It may or may not have made me cry last night.
3. If you want to learn on this lovely Friday, then check out Fast Company’s article on open-concept offices.
4. This puppy made me laugh so hard! I think everyone knows at least one pup who would go crazy with a gift of empty water bottles.
5. Disney Princesses go to high school.
6. One last fun one: trickmousing. Thank you HelloGiggles.
Oh, and an image that makes me smile (the view from Bali before getting on the boat to Gili T):

Hello! For the last few days I have been working on a couple of Photobooks via Mixbook. I was totally a scrapbooker back in the day, but these are a great way to use digital photos and actually use them in the real world.
I am having two books printed this weekend: one for my BF with images from all our 2013 travels and one for next summer for guests to sign at the cottage. Here’s a sneak peak of the covers for each book:
For the “Explore” book, I used the Modern Europe template, but got creative with some pages to include more images. This year we traveled (together) to NYC twice, Malta, Bali, Gili T, Singapore, and Nashville. That doesn’t include the trips we took independently, such my my trip to Ireland for Easter last year. Here’s a gallery with a few of the images I used for the book.
I will let you know how the books turn out, and share images from my guest book in a future post.
